英国将从财政上重点支持22所英国大学和专业，这一政策是为了支持英国大学发展STEM，即：Science、Technology、Engineering、Mathematics。为了尽快落实这个政策，政府将投入5亿英镑支持学校开设Doctoral Training。

 

英国政府重点培养的22所大学及专业名单：

1. 巴斯大学

博士培训中心名称：

EPSRC Centre for Doctoral Training in Statistical AppliedMathematics at Bath (SAMBa)

 

专业主要包括：

The MSc Mathematical Sciences

 

The MSc Modern Applications of Mathematics

 

2. 伯明翰大学

博士培训中心名称：

EPSRC Centre for Doctoral Training in Formulation Engineering

 

相关专业：

Formulation Engineering EngD

 

内容包括：

· Fundamental Science

· Formulation Methods

· Teambuilding

· Business Skills

· Research Skills

 

3、布里斯托大学(University of Bristol)

中心名称：EPSRC Centre for Doctoral Training in Condensed Matter Physics

 

旗下的物理专业，分类比较细致，但是，基本上为本科或者本硕连读课程：

Physics, MSci

Physics and Philosophy, BSc

Physics with Astrophysics, BSc

 

4、剑桥大学(University of Cambridge)

中心名称:

EPSRC Centre forDoctoral Training in Analysis

 

中心名称:

EPSRC Centre for Doctoral Training (CDT) in Sensor Technologies and Application

 

5、克兰菲尔德大学(Cranfield University)

中心名称:

EPSRC Centre for Doctoral Training inRenewable Energy Marine Structures (REMS)

 

本次建立的理学中心的研究重点是可再生能源，相关课程有：
